polka dots, checks and stripes...yikes

One day my husband told me that
if I'd wash and dry all the laundry
he'd fold it and put it away.

Then he realized it was the worst deal he'd ever made in his life.

Does the laundry get done at your house?

How?

Every Monday as I'm doing 4+ loads of laundry I selfishly and lazily wonder why no one has invented a folder and putter-awayer. I mean we have the washer and dryer did they think that was enough and just give up there?

I think you are on to something. Why did they think that was enough?!

I also agree. I do my laundry, and the rest of the household laundry (towels, sheets, etc). Joe does his laundry. Or sometimes I do his laundry. I fold my laundry and the household laundry. Joe folds his laundry. Or sometimes I fold his laundry too. It's a system. A flawed system, but still a system.

Jimmy and I have always done laundry together. From day 1 at TVA! Except, I end up folding it bc I'm OCD like that. But, he puts away his stuff and I put away my stuff.

LOL! That seriously made me laugh out loud...looking at the pile, then his face! I just make sure I wash 2 loads a day and then fold them as I take them out of the dryer. I'm not perfect though and that is on my to-do list tonight =)

I do all of our household laundry, then I put all of it away. Truthfully, I think I am always behind on laundry. Now that I am having a third child in a few months I am thinking to myself... "self, we need to find some help".
We'll see what happens. My oldest will be four soon, and I have been trying to teach him how to put away his laundry and sort the socks. I just decided that I must work harder at this.

BTW, I love the picture. That was a much better deal for you! Did he actually follow through?

I wash it all in one day, usually Monday or Tuesday. I pull it out of the dryer and dump it in a giant heap right outside our playroom door (which is right by our laundry room). I put it there so I can fold clothes while the kiddos play and they feel like I'm involved in their play time. Sometimes I fold it right away, but otherwise it usually doesn't sit there longer than 24 hours, but just in case, that's why I do it on Monday... after the weekend that all we really want to do is play as a family.
